One of the most successful titles on Netflix is close to its end. The streaming platform’s original series, ‘Stranger Things’, which had its launch in 2016, is on its way to the final season, the fifth.
As a result, in an interview with Discussing Film and reported by the Omelete website, the actor david harborwho plays the character Jim Hopper on the brothers’ series duffercommented that this is the ideal time to end production.
During the interview, david said, “The funny thing is, when I started the show, I never wanted it to end,” and continued, “That’s why I love the show. I think it’s a great show, even though I wasn’t on it. It’s been almost nine years recording since the first season and I think it’s time to finish.”
After that, the actor went on to say, “But it’s very bittersweet. You know, there’s a sadness there. But also, we all grow up. It’s time for us to leave this nest and try other things and different projects. And let the Duffer brothers try different things too. I mean, these guys are so talented. I want to see what they come up with next. So it’s bittersweet, but it’s definitely time.”
The fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’ was released last year, and thus became the production’s longest season, adding up to 13 hours of content. In addition, the successor of the third part of the series brought the song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)”, by the singer Kate Bushcarried out in the 1980s.
