The newest film to have a live-action feature is the animation that got its start in 2010’s How to Train Your Dragon, from DreamWorks Animation and Vertigo Entertainment. The new format of the production that includes the characters of Hiccup and Toothless, as found out by Deadline and reported by the website Omelete, will be directed by Dean DeBloisdirector who has directed other films in the franchise.
In the plot, Hiccup’s character is a young Viking, who flees the local tradition of the region where he lives by not knowing how to fight a dragon. However, when helping a dragon that shows him the whole truth, his life changes in a certain way. Thus, acting together, they try to prove that both dragons and humans can be friends.
Still, in addition to the sequel films that are already known, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ also has some spin-offs, such as ‘Dragons — Rescue Team’ and ‘How to Train Your Dragon — The Series’.
The franchise’s films, released between 2010 and 2019, were based on some children’s books by Cressida Cowellaccumulating more than US$ 1.6 billion.
The new production of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, in live-action, is expected to hit theaters on March 14, 2025.
