Ukrainian director Semyon Gorov created a short documentary film about Ukrainian cultural figures and their work during the war. The tape is called Remembrance of the Future. The teaser has been published on YouTube.
The goal of the project is to help creative people.
The director was inspired to create the film by the musical work of the same name of the Ukrainian composer, hero of Ukraine Igor Poklad. He became one of the heroes of the picture. Together with his wife, Poklad spent two weeks without electricity, food and water in the basement of his house in occupied Vorzel, and at that time seven enemy Russian tanks stood in his yard.
“They say that every trial comes with a gift. The main thing is not to look at it and accept it. War destroys life and art, but in these sufferings a new art, a new life is born! The this film is dedicated to heroism. people of Ukraine. Everyone here is like a live antenna. You begin to catch the signal that will lead you out of the terrible dream into the light. You look for its spark in yourself . It’s scary not to die, it’s scary not to try to live. We can’t lose, we have to win!” – said Gorov.
