Paul Rudd’s son joined him in the Super Bowl and the resemblance was striking

Paul Rudd was among a host of Hollywood stars who turned out in Glendale, Arizona over the Super Bowl weekend, but it’s his lookalike (and lookalike) son who took the internet by storm.

Jack Rudd and his famous father shared their excitement over the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Philadelphia Eagles in a joint interview with Fox Sports Sunday.

“I just want to thank you [Chiefs quarterback] Patrick Mahomes because he exists, because he’s put in all the work so we can all enjoy his greatness every week,” Jack, 16, told the network. “I am so lucky to be alive to see this. And I just can’t believe she’s a real person. I don’t know how to explain it, I just can’t believe it’s a real person.”

Father and son both wore Chiefs jerseys in the interview. And many on social media were quick to point out that the striking resemblance between the two extended to their vocal cords.

“This is not Paul’s son, this is his clone,” one person he posted on Twitter.

Added another, “Paul Rudd’s son is more Paul Rudd than Paul Rudd!”

Jack was born to Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger, in April 2006. The couple, who will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on February 23, also share a 13-year-old daughter, Darby.

Speaking with NBC’s Willie Geist earlier this month, the “Ant-Man” star recalled how Jack was once led to believe his father was a film employee, instead of an in-demand actor whose credits include “Clueless” and “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” among other hits.

“My son, when he was about 4 or 5 years old, went to the cinema to see a movie with his friends. … And there was a poster of the movie I was in. He was in the corridor. So everyone thought I worked in the film, which I thought was really nice,” she said.

“I never corrected,” Rudd added, revealing that he tried to move away from the charade when Jack finally gave his truth.

“I said, ‘No, I work at AMC Loews.’
