Dangerous adventures, far-fetched plans and sinister villains were not lacking in these iconic designs; find it out!
Waking up early, running to the living room still in pajamas, turning on the TV and watching the most varied cartoons throughout the morning: this sequence was part of the routine of several children who grew up surrounded by animations from the most diverse eras on television channels.
Thinking about that nostalgia that was part of many childhoods, we’ve separated five cartoons from the 90s that you’ve probably already seen, and that are worth remembering — but if you haven’t seen them yet, it doesn’t hurt to take a look. Check out!
1. pokemon
With appearance marked in 1997, ‘pokemon’ was one of the first anime to become popular outside its country of origin. In Brazil, animation first appeared in 1999 on Record’s “Eliana e Alegria” program, but has already been broadcast on Globo, RedeTV, Cartoon Network and Tooncast.
The plot accompanies Ash Ketchum, a boy who, when he reaches 10 years old, receives a Pokémon trainer license, and thus, enters in several trips, leagues and battles, always accompanied by his first Pokémon, Pikachu, in order to become “the greatest pokemon master”.
2. Timon and Pumbaa

Introduced in ‘The Lion King, a 1994 film, it didn’t take long for the unlikely duo formed by a Boar and a Meerkat to receive a production entirely focused on their varied adventures and their beautiful friendship
‘Timão e Pumba’ was released in 1995, and in Brazil, it was shown on Disney Channel as well as on SBT and Rede Globo.
3. X-Men

Featuring the team of mutants formed by Wolverine, Storm, Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Rogue, Beast, Gambit, Professor X and Jubilee, ‘X-Men’ was released in 1992 and shown in Brazil by Globo, TV Colosso and TV globe
It is also worth remembering that the animation will have a revival produced by Marvel Studios titled X-Men ’97 that should arrive on Disney + in 2023.
4. The Adventures of Tintin

Being an adaptation of the comics created by the Belgian author Georges Prosper Remibetter known as Hergé, in 1929, the animation ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ was first shown in 1991.
The plot that accompanies the courage and determination of the reporter Tintin and his dog Milu in dangerous situations and in the most diverse adventures that they end up getting into, arrived in Brazilian lands only in the 2000s by TV Cultura.
5. Pinky and the Brain

Brain, what do you want to do tonight?” says Pinky. Brain quickly responds, “Same thing we do every night, Pinky… Trying to conquer the world!”
The characters that initially appeared in Animaniacs (another cartoon from the 90s), gained their own animation in 1993, with all episodes starting with the dialogue above presenting Pinky and Brain’s plans at Acme Labs to dominate the world.
