The Oscar-winning actor surprised customers in the small town of Medford, Massachusetts by driving their cars as they took orders in an exclusive Super Bowl ad that aired yesterday, Sunday, February 12. For this occasion, the director, screenwriter and actor returned to the East Coast state where he grew up and where the chain was founded. “Welcome to Dunkin,” he says in this 30-second self-portrait. “How can it be so good and cheap?”

This collaboration between the actor and the donut brand is obvious when you know that Ben Affleck is a regular member of the brand, who has been photographed many times outside of Dunkin’ cafes or carrying paper bags from the chain. So, naturally, the company asked for his help to make its first Super Bowl commercial. “We thought about who is better to represent [notre menu] that Dunkin’s ultimate fan, Ben Affleck,” said Jill McVicar Nelson, the company’s director of marketing, in an interview.
