Lizzo has a hell of a time with British reality show Love Island, even if she doesn’t always get it.
During an appearance on the BBC’s “Graham Norton Show” on Friday, the singer revealed that she watched the dating series, but said a term used by the contestants left her confused.
Namely, the word “cup”.
“‘Wedding,’ ‘I feel like a proper cup’ — I’m like, ‘What’s a cup?'” she said.
“A cup is what you drink coffee from. Know? Or there is a “bad mug”, “Why are you robbing me?” But what does “cup” mean here? I don’t think it’s the same thing.”
“A cup is a face, isn’t it?” suggested host Graham Norton.
“Really? Well, they’ll say, ‘I feel like a cup.’ I say, ‘What? How do you feel like a ceramic cup?… I don’t understand.
As HuffPost previously explained, “When you’re boring, you’re dishonest or shady. To be robbed, then, is to be abandoned, lied to, or otherwise disrespected by the significant other.”
