Being known worldwide, films about Disney princesses have surpassed generations, and continue to conquer thousands of hearts in all corners of the planet until the present day. However, despite already being considered classics, many people may not know that some of these stories have gained sequels.
The sequels, despite not having been as successful as the original films, are responsible for presenting the public with a little more of the lives of these beloved characters right after the “happily ever after”.

1. Mulan 2: The Legend Continues (2005)
After saving China, Mulan and Shang finally get to grips with their relationship and decide to get married. However, in “Mulan 2”, the couple needs to put the wedding ceremony aside when they are summoned for another mission by the Emperor, while the feeling between the two is put to the test after conflicts during the trip.
2. Pocahontas 2: A Journey to the New World (1998)

Anyone who thinks that, shortly after the end of “Pocahontas”, the Powhatan people lived in peace is wrong. To try to prevent the English from declaring war against the tribe again, the American Indian decides to travel to England alongside John Smith.
3. The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea (2000)

Did you know that shortly after they got married, Ariel and Eric had a daughter? Melody, the couple’s firstborn, is introduced in “The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea”, where she is the protagonist. In the film, the child is forbidden to go near the sea due to a threat made by Morgana, sister of the villain Ursula. However, on her 12th birthday, Melody decides to take on an adventure to discover the truth about her family history, and Ariel must turn back into a mermaid to save her daughter’s life.
4. Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True (2002)

Have you ever wondered what Cinderella’s life would be like after marrying Prince Charming? In “Cinderella 2” we follow the adaptation of the princess in the castle after her luxurious wedding, and her questioning about the “happily ever after”, with the story being presented from the perspective of the mice Gus and Jaq.
5. Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time (2007)

Yes, Cinderella won a third sequel in 2007 where, this time, Lady Tremaine, the princess’s stepmother, gets the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and changes the past by making her daughter, Anastasia, marry the prince. However, the girl does not agree with her mother’s actions and does everything to reverse the action.
BONUS — The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Story (2008)

Despite not being a sequel, but a prequel, “The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Story” is an essential film for all those who want to know more about the princess’s story, in addition to knowing a little more about the events before the first movie.
