PENTAGON’s leader is among the contestants of Mnet’s new reality show “Boys Planet”
This Thursday, the 9th, the second episode of the new reality show on the Korean broadcaster Mnet, “Boys Planet”, a male version of the program “Girls Planet 999”, responsible for forming the girl group Kep1er, was aired. Now, the reality show intends to debut a new male group, also with nine members.
Among the participants, one of the biggest surprises for the public and the other competitors was the presence of Lee HoetaekO Hui of PENTAGONrenowned Cube Entertainment boygroup, which during the episode aired today revealed the real reason for having decided to participate in the reality show.
After being asked by one of the mentors about his participation, Hui stated that there were hundreds of reasons, but the main one is that he believes he needs a “transition” moment.
“There are hundreds of reasons, but the biggest one is that I need a transition. When I returned to my team after my military service, I realized that a lot has changed,” Hui vented. we want. I’ve never had so many rejections. The thought that ‘our team is unattractive’ devastates me.”
With this situation, hoetaek revealed that, as a leader, he began to feel useless since he could not find ways to help his members and the group to turn around.
“I thought ‘there’s nothing I can do for my members.’ This invisible barrier is too high to overcome, so my only option was to join Boys Planet… That’s why I’m here.”
Hui (PENTAGON) spoke about his choice to join Boys Planet. He says that after he returned from the military, it was increasingly difficult to get people to work with.
