Before him, there is yet another character that caused shivers not only in the characters, but also in those who watched the plot: Sid, Andy’s neighbor who liked to turn his toys into bizarre creatures.
What happened to Sid?
In the first film of the franchise — which, by the way, is Pixar’s first animated feature film — after all the terror that Woody and his gang went through at the boy’s hands, he received his revenge when all the toys came to life in front of him, the which scared the bully a lot and yielded one of the best phrases in the franchise spoken by the cowboy doll: “we toys can see everything, so play properly”. Remember!
After that, the public does not hear from Sid for a few years, until the release of ‘Toy Story 3’ where an easter egg reveals how the boy is doing and what he has been doing with his life until then. Sid’s brief appearance is seen when Woody thinks that Andy’s mother has thrown the toys away and runs to the garbage in an attempt to save his friends before the garbage truck arrives. At that moment, a garbage man appears who can be seen wearing a black shirt with a white skull underneath his orange work vest.
The t-shirt is the same as the one Sid wore as a young man, as seen in ‘Toy Story’, which means he must have kept the t-shirt for years. In addition, the apparition shows that the boy has not left the city and is still close to where he spent his childhood.
Sid’s job also makes a connection with his past, as he can now collect items across the city and crush them with the garbage truck, and in the past he also destroyed objects, such as when he separated parts of your dolls and cars to turn them into a new toy. See the full appearance!
