Last Wednesday night, the 8th, Disney took everyone by surprise by confirming the production of the fifth film in the “Toy Story” franchise, one of Pixar’s biggest hits, generating a big question among fans: after all, Woody and Buzz will be in the next movie?
According to a tweet posted by Tim Allenthe official voice actor of the iconic space ranger, it is possible that the duo will reunite again, even after the cowboy has embarked on an adventure with Beth and has left his friends.
“See you soon, Woody. You are a sad and strange little man, I pity you. And here we go for number 5! To infinity and beyond!” Allen said in the tweet.
In addition to the fifth Toy Story film, Disney also announced the third sequel to the Frozen franchise, and the second feature to Zootopia. So far, none of the productions have a premiere date.
The most recent release derived from the Toy Story story is “Lightyear”, a film that presents the story of space ranger Buzz Lightyear responsible for inspiring Andy’s favorite doll. To complicate matters, Zurg, an imposing presence, and his army of ruthless robots, arrive on the planet with a mysterious appointment.
