The Mexican version of the story, entitled “Rebelde”, became the biggest phenomenon among young people at the time. Aired between October 2004 and June 2006, the plot remained practically the same: young people completely different from themselves who become friends because of music and study at an elite school, where various problems of everyday life and adolescence are addressed. However, the big difference is that in this version there are six protagonists, namely Mia, Roberta, Lupita, Diego, Giovanni and Miguel.

The success of the soap opera was so great that the musical group that should only exist in fiction became real. The band, which became known as RBD, toured several times and even visited Brazilian soil many times. Altogether, they released five official albums and stopped their activities in 2009.

3. Remix — India

India also got its own version of Rebeldes, with the right adaptation of Indian customs. Entitled “Remix Gang”, the telenovela does not deviate much from the plot of the other versions. The production ran from November 2004 to July 2006.

6 . Rebel — Brazil

In partnership with Televisa, Record released the Brazilian version of “Rebelde”. The production ran from March 2011 to October 2012, and was nothing like the previous remakes due to its very troubled plot.
