The feature film ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ is one of the projects that the screenwriter James Gunn has for the first phase of DC movies and series.
In a list released this Tuesday, the 31st, the film is listed as one of the adaptations of the comic book ‘Supergirl: The Woman of Tomorrow’, which has as screenwriter tom kingand in the arts the Brazilian Bilquis Evelyas found by the website Omelete.
In this ocasion, James commented that the character that fans know, will have “a very different version” in the film, and continued: “We will see the difference between Superman, who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents, and Supergirl, who spent the first 14 years of her life watching everyone around her die horribly”.
Even during the presentation, James Gunn did not address the casting of the protagonist of the new feature, the actress sashastreetand has not yet confirmed her stay in the DC franchise: “We are still defining everything”. sasha already has a confirmed role in the series ‘The Flash’, which will be released later this year.
In the comics on which the future DC adaptation is based, a young alien hires Kara Zor-El, where both have had their lives destroyed, and thus wish to take revenge on those responsible for it. From there, Kara and the alien, accompanied by a faithful dog, leave for an intergalactic journey.
