For the 6th consecutive week, the new film from the Avatar saga leads at the Brazilian box office

This past weekend, between Thursday 19th and Sunday 22nd, the feature ‘Avatar: O Caminho da Água’, directed by James Cameron broke yet another box office record here in Brazil. The film, which at the worldwide box office has already reached US$ 2 billion in sales, registered here in the country last weekend the value of R$ 9.35 million, thus reaching the sixth consecutive week being leader at the Brazilian box office.

Still, in the leadership list here in Brazil, ‘Avatar: O Caminho da Água’ is followed in second place by the film ‘Puss in Boots 2: The Last Order’, which closed at the end of the week, as found by the Omelete website, with R$8.51 million.

In third place, after the feature film ‘Puss in Boots 2: The Last Order’, is the film ‘M3gan’, which in its debut here in Brazil alone already grossed R$7.28 million.

Still, among the five films that are breaking box office records here in the country, the film that deals with the life of the singer Whitney Houstontitled ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, has already collected R$1.19 million, followed by ‘ Babilônia’, with a collection of R$921 thousand.

‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ deals with family issues and threats that Jake Sully, Neytiri and their family will face after 13 years of war against the ‘Sky People’. In the cast of the continuation of the saga, there are big names from Hollywood, like the actors zoeSaldana, samworthington, Sigourneyweaver, StephenLang, CliffCurtis and KateWinslet.
