Jeremy Renner revealed he broke more than 30 bones in his body when he was involved in a snowplow accident earlier this month.
On Saturday, the actor shared an Instagram post updating fans on his condition following the New Year’s Eve accident.
“Morning workouts, resolutions, everything made this New Years special… It was born out of tragedy for my entire family and quickly focused on the union of love possible,” the Marvel star wrote.
He continued by “thanking EVERYONE for their messages and looking out for my family and me” before adding that “these 30+ broken bones will mend, get stronger, as will love and connection with family and friends they will deepen”.
Renner confirmed on social media earlier this week that he’s back home to be with his family — and told fans he’ll tune into the Season 2 premiere of his latest project, “The Mayor of Kingstown.”
“From my brain fog during recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home.” Renner tweeted on Jan. 16.
The 52-year-old had helped a family member whose car got stuck in snow in Nevada on New Year’s Day.
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said during a press conference that Renner’s snowplow had stalled and when the actor tried to extricate the “at least 14,330 pound” vehicle, it began to roll.
At that point, Renner tried to get into the driver’s seat, but was struck by the vehicle.
Renner was listed in “critical but stable condition” shortly after. Since then, she has been updating fans on her social media pages about how well she is recovering.
