In an interview with W Korea! for the February issue, where Jimina member of the BTS group, will be on the cover, the singer commented on how it was to participate in the composition of the new song by taeyangfrom BIGBANG, ‘VIBE’, as well as other aspects of the BTS member’s career.
Recently, Jiminwho was announced Dior’s global ambassador, attended this month’s fashion week, commenting: “I’ve never been to fashion week before, so I’m worried about being too nervous.”
During the interview, Jimin was asked what the little things were that made him happy, and he replied, “You might think it’s a given to say ARMY, but I really can’t forget the fans. Because since a long time ago, whether I was happy or sad, my joys and sorrows were with our fans. For simple pleasures, spending time with my friends is my only hobby and leisure.”
When asked about his involvement with taeyang on the new track that has already swept the iTunes charts, Jimin said: “taeyang is like my idol. To the point where it’s not an exaggeration to say that I got here with the aim of one day working with him on music. When I was younger, I felt and learned a lot from watching their promotions.”
The BTS member also revealed how he felt when he received the invitation: “When he reached out to me to work on a song together, it felt like a lie. As I worked alongside you with this opportunity, I learned that [Taeyang] was an even nicer and better person than I thought. I was also moved by how meticulously he took care of each thing throughout the entire production process. It made me think again, ‘I want to become a singer who can sing really well and do really well on stage.’
The singer even recalled an episode from his youth, where he commented that it was his beginning in dance: “In high school, I was talking to my friends at the table in front of the teacher’s table. On the teacher’s desk was a notice for parents about after-school activities. Among them was break dancing,” and continued, “My friends and I said ‘if we learn this, we can gain a ton of popularity,’ so we all started together.”
