He recently announced an anniversary tour that will mark his 40-year career. A chance to offer herself a comeback on a Madonna cover Vanity Fair. The singer appears there as the Virgin Mary on the cover of the magazine’s first special ‘Icon’ issue, out on January 25 and produced by the title’s French, Italian and Spanish editions. In two other images, the sexagenarian wears a bronze corset and crown of flowers, then she is immortalized in black and white, hanging from a rope and surrounded by bullfighters. “With this very special number, Madonna becomes Madonna, an icon again,” he said Vanity Fair France in the press release. The singer, in turn, confided in this issue about the current state of her career. “It’s a good time for me.
