Major reshuffle at Dior, LVMH group’s second flagship brand; At the age of 47, Bernard Arnault’s daughter takes over as head of the Avenue Montaigne label.
From 2008 to 2013, Homecoming was the Deputy General Manager of the luxury brand on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. This time, he takes the reins of Dior as CEO. “The appointment of Delphine Arnault marks the continuation of a course of excellence in fashion and leather goods,” said her father Bernard Arnault, head of the LVMH group, who planned and announced several changes in its ranks, in a press release. “Under his leadership, the desirability of the products has advanced significantly, allowing the brand to fly from record to record. For the past decade, Delphine Arnault has worked at Louis Vuitton, the LVMH group’s largest brand in terms of turnover. He oversaw all of the trunk maker’s product activities there, and in particular created the LVMH Prize, which rewards and supports young fashion talent. His arrival at Dior marks his succession to Pietro Beccari, who helped triple the luxury brand’s sales in just four years. Today’s efforts are being rewarded with the appointment as head of Louis Vuitton, replacing Michael Burke, who will take up new responsibilities directly with Bernard Arnault.
