Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died, her family said. He was 54 years old.
The singer-songwriter, the couple’s only child, was hospitalized Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest at her home.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement to The Associated Press. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
He asked for privacy as the family grapples with “this profound loss.”
The news comes just two days after Presley attended the Golden Globes, where he saw actor Austin Butler accept the award for best actor in a motion picture for his portrayal of his father.
Presley is survived by his mother and three children, including actor Riley Keough. Her son Benjamin Keough predeceased her in 2020.
She has released three studio albums throughout her career, most recently Storm & Grace in 2012. She has also received recognition for her homeless and literacy charity work in Memphis, Tennessee, where her father was born she began her legendary career. . musical career.
