IN VIDEO – Figure skater Kamila Valiyeva impressed the judges by performing Adams’ famous choreography during the Russian Figure Skating Championships on Wednesday.
Wednesday’s phenomenon is definitely planetary. Figure skater Kamila Valieva made a splash by wearing Jenna Ortega’s signature ice dance on Tim Burton’s episode 4 on Dec. 25 at the Russian Figure Skating Championships. She can be seen looking the same as her Wednesday Adams character, complete with a black tulle dress, heavy makeup and long black braids.
The 16-year-old performed the stunt for the first time in her signature hand-me-down style, set to Wednesday’s mate, set to the series’ popular theme music. Then the professional skater comes out of her hiding place, crosses the barriers and enters the ice. After an introduction with some technical movements, the music changes Goo Goo Mak From the band Cramps. From there, she goes into the same routine as Jenna Ortega. The music continues again on the sped-up remix bloody mary by Lady Gaga, which is now viral, which TikTokers are using to recreate their own versions of this dance.
Valieva executes every move to perfection and mixes dance moves with skating figures, showing her technical mastery in the discipline.
This very remarkable performance earned the athlete a silver medal and worldwide recognition as the video went viral on Twitter, TikTok and Youtube, already garnering nearly 37 million views on the latter platform. It is known that Kamila Valiyeva got involved in a doping scandal during the Beijing Winter Olympics. She also appeared early in 2022 when she became the first woman to land the quadruple jump at the same Olympics, helping her team to a gold medal.
