Noah Schnapp comes out as gay with a sweet ‘Stranger Things’ nod.

“Stranger Things” star Noah Schnapp came out as gay to fans in a TikTok video on Thursday.

“When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know,'” reads the text that appears in the video.

Those words are superimposed on a clip of Schnapp lip-syncing the words of another TikTok user who says: “You know what never was? So serious. It has never been so bad. Honestly, it will never be that bad.

Schnapp, who plays suburban teenager Will Byers in the Netflix horror series, captioned the video: “Guess I’m more like Will than I thought.”

In July, Schnapp confirmed a popular fan theory that Will Byers is gay and in love with his friend Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard).

“Obviously, that was hinted at in season 1. He was always there, but you never really knew. Is he just growing up slower than his friends?” Schnapp told Variety at the time. “Now that it’s grown, they’ve made it a very real thing, obviously. It is now 100% clear that he is gay and loves Mike. But before that, it was a slow arc.”
