Ice-T and Coco Austin are speaking out after being criticized yet again for their parenting skills.
The criticism started after the TV personality posted a Instagram On Tuesday, her family danced around on TikTok wearing matching Christmas pajamas.
In one clip, their daughter Chanel, 7, joins the twerking dance party in her best performance as Tina Belcher from the animated series “Bob’s Burgers.”
“Gotta love family time! The adults in our family would be making a TikTok and Chanel would run between them to make a move to make us laugh. He likes to joke,” the 43-year-old captioned the video.
The footage, which shows Chanel enjoying the attention of her family as she laughs and dances as they cheer, sparked a debate among the model’s followers who questioned whether her dance moves were appropriate.
One Instagram user wrote: “Not feeling well, especially on social media. There are so many sick minds here that this child’s safety and privacy should be better preserved. But to each his own.”
Another commented: “It’s a baby. What’s wrong with you?”
“SMH just because aaaah that’s not fair!” one commenter wrote.
Seeking to clarify the meaning behind the reel, Austin responded to a commenter that Chanel’s dance moves were simply “making fun of a Bob’s Burgers character,” Entertainment Tonight reports.
Other fans began doubling down in defense of the longtime couple, who married in 2002.
“Obviously Tina is doing it, cooking and watching some burgers at Bob’s,” one person wrote.
Another commented: “Enjoy, stop analyzing everything! GO CHANEL GO CHANEL GO ON!!”
Ice-T, which he previously had he clapped his hands against criticism from other parents, he apparently stepped in to avoid scrutiny with a post of his own Instagram account. Her post reads: “Everyone is going to hate you anyway… so you might as well give them a reason.”
The “Law & Order: SVU” actor captioned the post, “Christmas is over.. My advice is to go into 2023 with THIS attitude if you want to WIN.”
Last month, during an appearance on “Entertainment in the Tamron Hall“, a candid, teary-eyed Austin who feels she’s “always under the microscope” because of her parenting skills.
“You’re always under a microscope and you don’t feel how well you’re doing,” Austin told Hall. “You don’t hear well, you just hear very badly. And I know I’m a good mother.”
Austin added: “I’ve dedicated the last six years, putting everything aside, my career, everything, just for her. And you just want a little love, you just want a little respect from people.”
In September 2021, speaking with “The viewIce-T shared his thoughts on people on social media bashing their parents.
“The first rule of the internet: don’t pay attention to what anyone says on the internet,” he said at the time.
“Worry about people coming up to you and saying things in your real life. Those are the people you should be worried about,” Ice-T continued. “The Internet is the world. It’s the world talking, so I’m not paying attention.”
