In addition to decorations, exchanging gifts, and delicious food, one of the many traditions created for December 25th is to sit on the sofa and spend hours with the whole family watching the different Christmas productions launched over the years, as these help bring the magic of Christmas into the homes of many people around the world.
Knowing this, it was only a matter of time before the Marvel Cinematic Universe got into the holiday spirit and included its heroes in narratives that have the holiday celebrations as a backdrop. With that in mind, we’ve gathered all the MCU Christmas specials below so you can marathon.
1. Iron Man 3
Released in 2013, ‘Iron Man 3’ became Marvel’s first Christmas film, because, despite not having the festivities of December 25 as a focus, the date is responsible for guiding the events of the third film focused on Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), as the hero planned to spend the day Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) before the start of the Mandarin’s attacks.
Despite having been questioned for years whether it would really be a Christmas feature film, Casa das Ideias ended the doubts with an article published on its original website in 2019, where it emphasized that the work of Shane Black (director known for producing films set during the holidays), makes the list of Christmas films.

2. Hawkeye
Arriving at the catalog disney+ in 2021, the six episodes of the series ‘Hawkeye Archer’ became one of Marvel’s hits for Christmas specials. That’s because the plot that accompanies Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) teaching Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to be a superheroine, shows the duo facing several perrengues to save Christmas.
With scenarios full of blinkers, large pine trees, lots of snow and the traditional Christmas sweaters, the series follows Barton’s saga in finishing all his pendencies so that he can return home in time and not break another promise made to his children. Remember the trailer above!
3. Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special
This being the latest among the themed productions of the date, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special’ appeared on Disney’s streaming platform accompanying Drax (dave bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) on a mission to throw a surprise Christmas party for Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), with a very special guest: Kevin Bacon🇧🇷
The motivation for the celebration is given as Star-Lord is still saddened by Gamora’s departure (Zoe Saldana), so, in order to cheer him up, the duo uses the most magical date of the year to present him and show how much they love him.
