Norway, Austria and the United States will provide Ukraine with additional funding within a grant in the amount of 495 million euros.
Ukraine will receive an additional 495 million euros in grant funds from the World Bank Trust Fund. The amendment to the agreement was signed by Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko and World Bank Regional Director Arup Banerjee, the Finance Ministry reported on Friday, April 29.
Under this agreement, Ukraine will receive additional grant funds from Norway, Austria and the United States (within one grant) in the amount of 495 million euros.
“The grant will be sent to the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine to ensure the priority social, humanitarian, health care, support for internally displaced persons,” the message said.
The grant will be provided to Ukraine from the World Bank Trust Fund under the Second Loan for Development Policy in the area of economic recovery.
The Trust Fund was established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association, which has already received contributions from Denmark, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Norway, Austria and the United States.
Earlier on Friday, it was learned that Ukraine has already received a grant from the World Bank in the amount of 88.5 million euros.
