According to him, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the energy infrastructure has experienced massive destruction. Above all – in the territories where the conflict continues.

“The gas production infrastructure of Naftogaz also suffered – it was hit by enemy missiles. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, more than 350 facilities of enterprises of the Naftogaz group have been damaged. These are infrastructure facilities of gas and oil. In addition, more than 450 km of damaged gas pipelines,” said Chernyshov.

He said this is not the first shelling of gas production infrastructure. Prior to this, the Russians had already destroyed dozens of objects in the previously occupied territories in the Kharkiv region and actively shelled its neighbors.

“Now, in fact, Ukraine must rebuild its energy infrastructure so that it can work in a war. And this winter will be decisive. On the one hand, it is a difficult test, on the other hand, a experience that does not exist abroad. now “, – said Chernyshov.

Earlier, Natfogaz said that Ukraine needs an additional $4 billion for gas during the heating season.
