Azovstal demands sanctions against Russian thieves – media

Azovstal is demanding sanctions against Reka-More Management Company and its leader, as well as against Krambol plus company and its founders and employees. Both Ukrainian metals were stolen from occupied Mariupol.

Azovstal Metallurgical Plant sent a letter to the Office of the President with a call to impose sanctions on companies and individuals involved in the theft of Ukrainian steel products from Mariupol. This is stated in the letter of the plant, reports RBC-Ukraine.

In particular, Azovstal requests the imposition of sanctions against the Russian company Reka-More Management Company, registered in Rostov-on-Don, its head Gennady Arustamov, as well as against the Krambol plus company and its founders and its employees – Zaburunny Alexey Timofeevich, Zaburunnaya Olga Nikolaevna and Zaburunny Igor Alekseevich.

“These companies are engaged in re-mooring ships and unloading Azovstal products from them, which will be delivered to customers in Europe. It is these people who illegally took and resold the property of the enterprises of Ukrainian in the temporarily occupied territory. , which established a threat to the national economic interest. So, a ship called RM-3 , owned by the company Reka-Sea, called at the port of Mariupol, loaded with Ukrainian metal products and went to Rostov. At the same time, the Krambol plus company was engaged in re-mooring the TZAREVNA vessel and unloading metallurgical products from it, which were later also exported to the Russian Federation, “said the report. letter

Azovstal stressed that the company did not transfer the goods (the right of ownership to them) to representatives of terrorist groups or the aggressor country.

“Accordingly, this product was simply stolen. The permission of the labor administration (under the control of the Russian Federation) to load other people’s products on the ship, active coverage of this event in the Russian media and the message about the existence of an alleged “agreement” under which the export of products is carried out, testifying to the assistance and / or admission of the Russian Federation of theft of products of Ukrainian factories and theft of property. To protect our rights, we turn to law enforcement agencies,” wrote the authors of the appeal.

Among the proposed sanctions are the blocking of assets, the suppression of trade operations, the collection of assets belonging to them in state revenue, the prevention of withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, and more.

“The activities of the above persons, as well as the Russian Federation, threaten the national interests, security and economy of Ukraine, violate the property rights of individuals and legal entities and create obstacles to sustainable financial development,” the letter emphasized.

Rinat Akhmetov’s company also reported that they filed a case with the European Court of Human Rights against Russia demanding that the aggressor country be held accountable for damage to the company’s property and assets.

Earlier it was reported that Russia was stealing steel products in Mariupol, produced by metallurgical plants Avzostal, Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Zaporizhstal. At least three ships full of metal ended up in Rostov: these are the thefts reported in Russia in the federal news.

Ukrainian metallurgical plants have turned to their international partners and seaport operators with an appeal not to buy products of dubious origin, but to immediately inform Metinvest about it. Businesses also provided evidence that Russian military groups and terrorists controlled by them were moving products out of the port. Such thefts are a violation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, where there is a tribunal.

In July this year, the Metinvest group, which includes Azovstal, estimated the damage from Russian steel theft at $600 million.
