For 9 months of 2022, Ukrainian enterprises of the SCM investment group paid UAH 60.2 billion in taxes and fees to the state and local budget. This was reported by the SCM press service on Friday, December 2.

“Despite Russia’s massive invasion of Ukraine, SCM continues to invest in our country’s economy and energy independence,” the press service asserted.
Capital investments of the group from January to October 2022 amounted to UAH 13.3 billion.
“Most of these funds are measures to strengthen the country’s energy security: overhaul of electrical networks, re-equipment of power units of thermal power plants, drilling of oil and gas wells, opening of new longwalls, coal enrichment, etc.,” the report said.
UAH 6.1 billion was spent on social programs. The biggest costs are environmental protection and social programs for residents of the regions of presence.
Also, since February 24, Rinat Akhmetov’s group of companies has sent more than UAH 3.5 billion to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and programs to help the population during the war.
Earlier, the Metinvest group, owned by Akhmetov, reported that it paid UAH 18 billion in taxes since the beginning of the year.
It will be remembered that in the first ten days of November, the SCM announced the launch of the Mariupol: Reborn project, whose goal is to create a plan for the restoration of the city. It is expected that international financial organizations (World Bank, EBRD), Ukrainian authorities and representatives of big business – SCM and Metinvest will participate in its implementation.
