DTEK supplied 20 thousand tons of coal to the state’s thermal power plants

The company increased the amount of coal supplied to the state’s heat and power generation to 120,000 tons. This should help the Ukrainian energy system get through the heating season more reliably.

DTEK donated 20,000 tons of coal to state thermal power plants for the heating season. This was announced on Wednesday, December 30, by the company’s press service on its official telegram channel.

In the past, the company has transferred 100,000 tonnes of coal to TPPs for the same purposes.

“Apart from the 100,000 tonnes of coal sent earlier for the needs of the state-owned TPPs, DTEK Energy has provided them with another 20,000 tonnes of much-needed coal,” the report said.

Rinat Akhmetov’s company added that 10,000 tons have already been shipped, “another 10,000 tons are in process.”

“This will allow thermal generation and the Ukrainian energy system to pass the heating season more reliably,” DTEK said.

Recall that DTEK earlier reported on the commissioning of new coal longwalls to supply coal to the energy system.
