Minister of Agricultural Development and Irrigation, Jenny Ocampo, has ratified the fourth process for the arrival of urea in the country, as a purchase order was signed with Direcagro this Friday. The Paraguayan company was reportedly able to meet the requirements after the four declared winners filed non-compliance, it was reported.
“We can say that we already have a contract, and, as indicated in the conditions, carbamide will be here in the country within 40 days. As soon as the contract comes into force, now we have to make sure that on the 40th it is in the port of Callao, and we can deal with its distribution, which we are also working on,” he said.
“In 40 days (urea should arrive), as promised by the Direkagro company, with which the supply order was signed. with the last requirement, we will receive this very important contribution by the end of the year,” he added.
In addition, Minister Ocampo emphasized the support of various organizations so that the distribution of fertilizers allows for greater influence. In addition, he said additional outlets are being considered, “realizing that urea is one of the fertilizers, but also that this global crisis will continue, so there is hard work to be done.”
