Ukrainian cereals. Turkey approves the “extension” of the agreement.

On Thursday, Turkey confirmed the extension of the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain for four months.under the same conditions“As many as have been seen since July,” a senior official told AFP on condition of anonymity. According to this official, all parties agreed that “the agreement is valid for 120 days during the winter months“and”new arrangementscan be taken after the bad season is over.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative, which expires Friday night, has taken more than 11 million tons of grain out of Ukraine’s ports in four months. An international source close to the negotiations also confirmed to AFP on Thursday the extension of this agreement, in which Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the United Nations participate.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, one of the architects of this agreement, said to himself on Wednesday:surethat the contract be extended. “Kiev was the first to announce the extension of this agreement on Thursday.”within 120 days“.
