At customs, importers face problems in clearing goods that help improve energy supply.
The Cabinet of Ministers passed a resolution simplifying the import of generators and other electrical equipment. The government approved the corresponding decision the previous day, according to the Ministry of Economy on Thursday, November 17.
According to the decision, for the period of martial law, such goods will not be subject to the requirements for a declaration of conformity and marking with a mark of compliance with technical regulations.
As noted in the department, the government had earlier exempted generators, batteries and other equipment from import duties and VAT, helping to improve energy supply.
“But at customs, importers face problems with the clearance of such goods. The current regulation should eliminate the inconsistencies,” the report said.
Earlier, a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers began in Ukraine, according to which import duties on generators, batteries and a number of other goods were canceled. President Volodymyr Zelensky said it will help to get through the winter season.
