In total, international partners have pledged $36.959 billion in aid this year. So, so far, 65% of the pledged amount has been disbursed.
As reported, the grants accounted for less than half of the received funds – $ 10.485 billion, or 43.5%.
The United States pledged the most aid – $12.99 billion and the EU – $11.5 billion. Moreover, if the United States has allocated $8.49 billion, or 65% and all in the form of grants, then the EU – $4.845 billion, or 42% , of which only $626 million are grants.
The Ministry of Finance also reports that since the beginning of the war, the financing of the budget deficit for 330 billion hryvnias ($10.562 billion) has been covered by the National Bank by purchasing war bonds.
It can be noted that if this year the monthly need for financing the state budget deficit is about $5 billion, and next year this number should be reduced to $3-4 billion per month ($38 billion per year) . The Ministry of Finance hopes that the issue of the National Bank in 2023 will not be needed.
