Budget expenditures exceeded 1.4 trillion – Ministry of Finance

Almost 460 billion hryvnias were allocated for the financial maintenance of military personnel. Hundreds of billions more – for the purchase of weapons.

As of September, state budget expenditures reached 234.1 billion hryvnias, and since the beginning of the war, they exceeded 1.4 trillion hryvnias. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance in relation to State Treasury data.

Most of the funds are directed to wages with accruals – UAH 605 billion (in September – UAH 106 billion), or 42.2% of total spending.

Of these, UAH 458.5 billion was allocated for the financial maintenance of military personnel (UAH 82.9 billion in September).

Another UAH 331.3 billion (UAH 62.6 billion in September) was spent on payment for the use of goods and services, or 23.1%. In particular, for the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment and the implementation of the program of state guarantees of medical care for the population

In addition, UAH 301.4 billion (UAH 44 billion in September) or 21% of total spending was allocated to social security (pensions, allowances, scholarships).

UAH 81.6 billion (UAH 4.1 billion in September) or 5.7% of the total was allocated to public debt service;

Transfers to local budgets amounted to UAH 79.7 billion. (in September – UAH 9.2 billion) or 5.6% of the total volume.

It should be noted that on the eve of the Verkhovna Rada for the eighth time since the beginning of the year made changes to the budget, increasing defense spending by 387 billion hryvnia.
