Shell now has at least two more long -term contracts with Russia’s Gazprom.
One of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, Anglo-Dutch Shell Plc has begun recalling personnel from its joint ventures with Russia’s Gazprom. Bloomberg reported this on Wednesday, April 20th.
Thus, dozens of company employees who worked on the Sakhalin-2 liquefied gas export project were laid off and then transferred to work on other projects.
“Shell is gradually reminding its employees to be second to businesses with Gazprom and Gazprom Neft. The primary focus in this process is the safety of our people and operations, as well as compliance with the laws, “said a Shell spokesperson.
Shell now has at least two more long -term contracts with Gazprom. These cost 1.5% of the volume of gas supplied by the Russian company annually to major foreign customers.
It will be recalled that in March, Shell announced its intention to withdraw from participation in all of Russia’s hydrocarbon projects, including oil, oil products, gas and LNG. As an immediate first step, the company stopped all buying of Russia’s oil spot.
