Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February, Ukraine has received about $19.4 billion in financial aid from foreign partners, according to the Ministry of Finance.

Treasury Secretary Sergei Marchenko said in a meeting with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in Washington that by the end of the year Ukraine expects to receive 5 billion euros from the EU, 4.5 billion dollars from the United States and 1.3 billion dollars from the IMF.
“We continue to work in full, providing for all the priority expenditures of the state budget, including thanks to the extraordinary help of partners from the United States. We are especially grateful for the provision of funds in the form of of grants, which allows us to increase the debt burden,” said Marchenko.
According to him, US grant aid has reached $8.5 billion. The money was sent to the state budget of Ukraine to stabilize the economy and provide protected spending during the war: payment of salaries, pensions, social benefits.
In this regard, Yllen emphasized that the United States will continue to support Ukraine.
It should be noted that the need for financial assistance in Ukraine next year is estimated at $38 billion.
