The largest online retailer Amazon has canceled the referral commission for Ukrainian export sellers. Since September 6, a business that ships goods from Ukraine has been exempted for one year from paying a percentage of sales, Ukrposhta reported on Wednesday, September 21.
“A few months ago, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Ukrposhta, the marketplace promotion agency Disqover Agency and Startup Ukraine jointly approached Amazon to ease the conditions for Ukrainian sellers. As a result, now there is a good news: Amazon is canceling referral commissions for the entire year,” the message said.
It is specified that the referral commission will be up to 0% for a period of 12 months for all Ukrainian sellers on Amazon in Europe and the UK

Director General of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky said that now Ukrainian sellers will only be required to pay VAT of the country of destination, and this process on Amazon is automated through the Import-one-stop-solution (IOSS) system.
Earlier marketplaces Joom, Wish, Shopify, Etsy and eBay, at the request of Ukrposhta, canceled commissions for sellers from Ukraine.
Ukrposhta became the first post office to open an official store on Amazon.
Earlier it was reported that Amazon will develop cloud technologies in Ukraine. The Ministry of Digital Transformation signed a memorandum of cooperation with the company aimed at accelerating digital transformation and introducing innovations in Ukraine.
