“We have a potential for export. As of July 1 this year, we had very large balances. More than 20 million tons, which were also potential for export. Plus, there is a new crop. So the topic of export remains very -relevant to export the grown grain” , – he said.
According to him, 67 million tons of crops have been harvested, of which 45 million tons can be exported, 20-22 million tons are enough for domestic consumption.
The Deputy Minister said that in July it was possible to export 3 million tons of agricultural products, and after the opening of the grain corridor in August, the number reached 4.5 million tons of grain. In September, he said, there are expectations to reach 5.4-5.5 million tons.
“We hope that there is no force majeure. This figure will be achieved. We are approaching the required average monthly export, which is in peacetime. In previous years, it was from 6 to 7 million tons per month, depending in time. And intensity. If we reach at least 6 million tons, then it will be a great success for all participants in the process. Therefore, we are moving towards it, “said Vysotsky.
Recall that the previous President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian grain was not given to the poorest countries, as planned. He accused Ukraine of violating the deal and announced the need to change its terms.
The President’s Office denied Putin’s allegations, explaining them as a new attempt to blackmail the West into easing sanctions.
