According to the results of August, 16,600 used cars imported from abroad were registered in Ukraine. This is three times less than what was registered in August 2021 and 64% less than the number of registrations in July this year, the profile association Ukravtoprom reported on Tuesday, September 6.

Usually, cars of the Volkswagen Golf model switch to Ukrainian numbers in August. Within a month Ukrainians registered 987 cars of this model.
Renault Megane has the second result – 841 customs cleared and registered cars. In third place is the Volkswagen Passat – 773 cars.
The fourth position belongs to Skoda Octavia – 499 Ukrainians became the owners of this model in August. Closing out the top five is the Ford Focus with a score of 482 cars.

Recall that from July 1, duty-free import of cars to Ukraine was canceled. Customs duties, excise and 20% VAT on imported goods, including cars, were reinstated.
