Ukrainian farmers harvested 25.3 million tons of grain on August 25, according to data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food Report.
So, from 4.6 million hectares (98%), 18.8 million tons of wheat (40.8 q/ha) were harvested, barley – from 1.6 million hectares (99%) 5.5 million tons (harvest – 34 .6 q/ haha).
In addition, peas harvested from 108.8 thousand hectares (98%), 246.1 thousand tons were harvested (income – 22.6 cents per hectare), buckwheat – 1.6 thousand hectares (1%) – 2 thousand. tons (income – 13.2 c/ha), millet – 4.1 thousand hectares (9%) – 1 thousand tons (income – 21.9 c/ha).
In total, the harvest of grains and legumes was completed in an area of 6.6 million hectares (59%) with a yield of 38.4 c/ha.
The highest yield of cereals and legumes came from farmers in the Khmelnitsky region – 62.3 centners per hectare.
Sunflower harvesting has also begun – in an area of 23.5 thousand hectares (1%), 18.8 thousand tons of seeds were harvested with a yield of 8 cents per hectare.
Rapeseed in an area of 1 million 85 thousand hectares (99%) was harvested by 3.1 million tons with a yield of 28.4 q/ha.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy increased the forecast for the 2022 harvest from 60 million tons to 65-67 million tons compared to 106.5 million tons last year.
During the 2022 sowing campaign, 14.16 million hectares of land were sown during the war – this is 83.7% of the figures for the previous year (16.92 million hectares).
