At the beginning of the current year, there were good requirements for growth in the market, but the military actions made their own adjustments.
During the seven months of 2022, farmers in Ukraine bought 267 units of combine harvesters. This is the worst figure since 2015, the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business association reported on the eve.

It is indicated that, compared to 2021, the sales volumes of the combined decreased by 2.4 times, then 639 units were sold.
Most of the grain harvesters were bought by farmers of Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions – 36 and 25 units, respectively.
Oleg Nesterov, the coordinator of the UCAB Committee of Equipment, emphasized that at the beginning of this year there are good requirements for growth in the market, or at least maintaining the indicator of last year, but military operations will make their own arrangements.
“Many agrarians have problems with financing, availability of funds, equipment is damaged or stolen, or fields with crops are located in occupied territories or burned,” he said.
According to Nesterov, the purchase of equipment in Ukraine is negatively affected by limited opportunities to attract credit loans, as well as the continuation of tax audits and fines.
A similar trend is observed in other types of technology. In particular, the purchase of tractors has more than half.
“It is worth noting that the financial problem is starting to deepen for farmers: expensive logistics, resources and many other factors significantly affect the price of products, which are sometimes lower than the cost, and, when accordingly, farmers are running at a loss, ” Nesterov summarized.
It was previously reported that the Russians were unable to use the agricultural machinery stolen in Melitopol from the Agrotek dealership. It turns out that this $5 million worth of equipment was intercepted remotely.
