The State Statistics Service records the growth of Ukraine’s foreign trade in June, but overall, there is a negative balance for half a year.
Exports of goods from Ukraine in the first half of 2022 decreased by 24% compared to the same period in 2021 – to $22.732 billion, imports – by 19.1%, to $25.2 billion, according to the State Statistics Service .

At the same time, in June, compared to May, the seasonally adjusted volume of exports increased by 18.6%, to $3.576 billion, and imports, by 27.6%, to $4.984 billion.
During the six months of 2022, Ukraine’s negative foreign trade balance doubled to $2.468 billion from $1.227 billion.
The seasonally adjusted balance of foreign trade in June was negative and reached $1.408 billion against $889.9 million in May.
The export-to-import coverage ratio for the six months of 2022 reached 0.90 (in January-June 2021 – 0.96).
It should be noted that export growth is expected since August, when the grain corridor for the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea was launched.
