As of August 12, Ukrainian farmers have already harvested 20.8 million tons of the 2022 crop, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported on Friday, August 12.
It was noted that the Mykolaiv and Transcarpathian regions have fully completed the harvest of crops of the first part of the group.
Rapeseed and peas are threshed 95%, wheat 82% barley 89%.
“Agricultural producers of Odesa and Dnepropetrovsk regions harvested more than 2 million tons of grain each, another 5 regions crossed the one-million grain harvest indicator,” the report said.
Cereal and leguminous crops were harvested in an area of 5.5 million hectares (49%), 20.8 million tons of grain were threshed: 3.8 million hectares were threshed wheat, 15.4 million tons were threshed; barley 1.4 million hectares – 4.9 million tons; peas 106 thousand hectares – 239 thousand tons, respectively.
Winter rapeseed was harvested in an area of 1 million 42 thousand hectares, 2.9 million tons of seeds were harvested.
The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops in the Khmelnytsky region is 62 q/ha.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy increased the forecast for the 2022 harvest from 60 million tons to 65-67 million tons compared to last year’s 106.5 million tons.
During the 2022 sowing campaign, 14.16 million hectares of land were sown during the war – this is 83.7% of the figures for the previous year (16.92 million hectares).
