The occupiers plan to disconnect Zaporizhzhya NPP from Ukraine’s energy grid and connect it to the network of occupied Crimea.
If the invaders tried to reconnect the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Crimea, then the Ukrainian military could disrupt the power lines at the station. Energoatom President Petr Kotin spoke about this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

This can be done if ZNPP is “cut off” from the Ukrainian energy system.
“The station will remain powered by the Ukrainian power system if they continue their program. For now, we have stopped them and are repairing these lines. Our teams are already in place assessing the malfunctions. Now an additional wire is being delivered to Zaporozhye, which is needed for repairs, and we will return the damaged lines,” said Kotin.
But if the invaders try to implement the plan to reconnect the nuclear power plant in Crimea, then the Armed Forces of Ukraine will cut the transmission lines, the head of Energoatom said.
“And I think this will be the right decision from Ukraine’s point of view – to interrupt the lines that will connect them. I think our Armed Forces will be ready to do this if necessary,” Kotin said.
It will be recalled that on August 6, Russian aggressors fired twice at the ZNPP. The power unit No. 4 were killed at the station. Energoatom reported that the nitrogen-oxygen station and the combined auxiliary building were damaged as a result of the shelling.
