In July, national oil production averaged 39,864 barrels per day, down 12.9% from June’s 45,784 barrels of crude oil per day.
The figure also shows the inhibition of the recovery already shown oil production after falling to 29,000 bpd in March. After the fall in March, 41.9 thousand barrels were produced in April.
Now, the decline in oil production further pushes back the recovery from the pre-pandemic levels of 60,000 tons per day, which were achieved between January and February 2020.

Liquids used for LPG fell to their lowest point in July as 107,011 barrels were produced per day on average, down 9.73% from the same period the previous year.
If the production of liquids gas July also saw a 17.1% drop compared to June, indicating a larger contraction in Lot 57.
In addition, the Perupetro report also indicates that investments in hydrocarbon exploration in April reached only $77,950, which means a drop of 81% compared to what was recorded in the same month of 2021 and will be the lowest figure for last years.
