Harvesting in Ukraine is gaining momentum, in some regions it is almost completed. The yield forecast has also been increased.
In one week, 5.7 million tons of grain were harvested in Ukraine. In total, as of August 5, 17.5 million tons were harvested from 4.8 million hectares, according to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
So far, agrarians from 11 regions have completely finished threshing peas, and agrarians from Odessa and Mykolaiv regions have completed 99% of wheat harvesting.
Overall, 12.6 million tons of wheat were threshed from 3.5 million hectares with a yield of 36 cents per hectare, barley was threshed 1.3 million hectares with a yield of 33.8 cents per hectare 4.4 million tons were threshed and peas were 10,100, and the peas were threshed. with a yield of 22.4 centners per hectare, 226 thousand tons were harvested.
Harvesting of winter rapeseed was carried out in an area of 929 thousand hectares, (79%) threshed 2.5 million tons of seeds with a yield of 26.8 q/ha.
Agricultural producers of the Odessa region threshed 2.5 million tons of grain, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions – more than 1 million tons of grain each.
The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops belongs to the farmers of the Ivano-Frankivsk region – 61.2 q/ha.
This week, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy raised the forecast for the 2022 harvest from 60 million tons to 65-67 million tons compared to 106.5 million tons last year.
During the 2022 sowing campaign, 14.16 million hectares of land were sown during the war – this is 83.7% of the figures for the previous year (16.92 million hectares).
