Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the company DTEK, Rinat Akhmetov, has allocated UAH 527 million to support the military and humanitarian aid to the population, according to the company’s website on Friday, August 5.
They recalled that the priority areas of assistance are the purchase of protective equipment for the military, medicines and food packages, support for internally displaced persons, as well as the free provision of electricity to institutions medical and military for 178 million hryvnias. Currently, more than 100 military and healthcare institutions are provided with free electricity.
In particular, the company donated 175 vehicles from its own fleet to the defenders of Ukraine, as well as fuel and gas condensate, power generators, walkie-talkies, tablets, drones, body armor, hemostatic turnstiles and all that is needed.
“I am convinced that the enemy can be overcome only by the joint efforts of the whole country. Therefore, from the first day of the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine, DTEK and its shareholder Rinat Akhmetov provide comprehensive assistance to our defenders and people affected by the war. We will support the military and the population until the last time the occupier will not leave the territory of Ukraine,” said Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, Akhmetov’s businesses, his charitable foundation and FC Shakhtar have transferred UAH 3 billion to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine and citizens affected by the war.
