As a result, the authorities may change the plan to fill the gas storage facilities from the current 12 billion cubic meters to 19 billion cubic meters.
In particular, Naftogaz plans to import about 2.7 billion cubic meters of gas and buy an additional 1.8 billion cubic meters from the domestic market. It was noted that due to the growth of world gas prices, the deficit of Naftogaz in preparation for the heating season may reach 219 billion Hryvnia.
Mienergo noted that part of the gas can be used to generate electricity, because due to the war there may be problems in the delivery of coal to thermal workers.
Galushchenko added that plans for the accumulation of gas and coal are designed for critical situations.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, Ukraine is 60% ready for the heating season.
