Maersk will exit Russia amid record financial performance in the second quarter of 2022.
Danish transport and logistics company AP Moeller-Maersk A/S continues to wind down operations in Russia with the aim of exiting the country altogether. This was stated in the company’s report for the second quarter of 2022, published on Wednesday, August 3.
“All flights to and from Russia have been suspended, and the process of selling assets continues, including a minority stake of 30.75% of Global Ports Investments,” the statement said.
At the same time, it is indicated that in the II quarter of 2022, the profit of Maersk increased one and a half times compared to the same period last year – up to $21.7 billion, EBITDA doubled – up to $10.3 billion.
Recall that in March, Maersk began a gradual cessation of activity. The company sees no prospects for continuing operations in Russia.
