It is not necessary to specialize or exchange coins with a face value of 10 kopecks, mentioned in the NBU.
From October 1, the gradual removal of coins with a face of 10 cents from cash circulation will start. This was announced by the Press Service of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Banks, as usual, get coins with face value of 10 kopecks from citizens and businesses to perform payment transactions. At the same time, entering the banks, such coins will no longer return to the circulation, but will be removed and moved to the NBU for further repair and disposal.
It is not necessary to specialize or replace the coins with a face value of 10 kopecks. They will remain in circulation until completely removed and accepted in calculations.
According to the NBU, there is currently about 5.5 billion PCs of cash. CHANGER COINS:
-
1.4 Billion PC. coin with a face value of 50 cents;
-
4.1 Billion PC. Coins with face value of 10 kopecks.
Each year, the NBU must maintain an appeal and provide banks and fields of trade and service with exchange coins. In particular, in 2025, a mination of 20 million new coins with a face value of 50 kopecks was planned, as it requires cash.
“So, if stable demand is maintained for bargaining coins with a face value of 50 kopecks, including from the trading field, then the coins of 10 kopecks have stopped playing a significant role in cash calculations for goods and services,” the National Bank said.
Their gradual removal from circulation will reduce the cost of manufacturing, processing, transportation, storage and circulation of such coins.
Remember that last year the NBU submitted a package of bills in changing Barga Barga’s name from a Penny one step, and asked to put it in Verkhovna Rada.
