The size of the help is equal to the difference between the total value of the basic value for family members and their average monthly income.
Ukrainian families may submit applications for registering basic social assistance in the DIA application. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity.
“The main social assistance is a new approach to families’ support of the difficult circumstances of life. It changes 5 types of state aid to a significant state support, so there is no need to draw families for each of these types. The size of help is tied to the main value, now 4,500 UAH.
The size of the aid is calculated alone and equivalent to the difference between the total value of the main value for all family members and their average monthly income, “the ministry said.
The Ministry of Social Policy records that in order to use the service, you need to have a biometric document – an ID card or a foreign passport, as well as a proven tax number (RNKPP).
Now the service is possible to adjust the basic social aid if you get one or more types of help: help low -income families; Payment for children to single mothers; Temporary help to children that parents avoid paying alimony or their whereabouts are unknown.
The Ministry of Social Policy said the project started in July 2025 as a pilot, and since the pilot project was designed for two years, the department simultaneously introduced such assistance on an ongoing basis.
Remember that Ukraine plans to change the social support system and introduce a single type of payment – basic social aid. This has been proven by the corresponding bill, prepared by the Ministry of Social Policy.
